Statement
When inspecting my sculpture and paintings, viewers will discover two major themes - nature and the human figure - that sustain my creativity. I eagerly explore the evolutionary quirks found in the natural world. My art reflects my sense of wonderment of life on Earth and strives to draw in viewers and reconnect them to the natural world in a unique way. In my figurative work, I utilize animal imagery and symbolism to represent personal experiences, such as the pains of growing up. I explore the human figure and depict its graceful movements, its elegant makeup, and the sturdiness of the human will. I encourage viewers to look closely at each work to discover the stories each figure tells whether whimsical fables or tales of emotional distress and turmoil.
